As for your end of video question.
I try to only upgrade when I have to or I find a deal that I can't walk away from.
My S5 was basically just to buy a phone from someone I should have bought an earlier phone from but after I found out the S5 was the very first Samsung phone with Stereo microphones I'm glad I bought one.
My S6 was bought because I had to have a phone with the fastest Internet speed on Sprint at the time.
My S7 was bought because the price could not be beat.
While the Dolby and the camera have me looking at the S9 I would really like a phone with front facing speakers and a 4K display.

I need to see a video that goes beyond the specs because specs do not say if the phone records Monophonic or Stereophonic videos.
While you clearly noticed there was a microphone on top and on bottom you failed to point out that when held in Landscape mode those two microphones become left and right microphones for Stereophonic videos.

I also notice you say that carrier updates will be too slow to update. I got the unlocked variant 845. Many run for the exynos. In my experience I have found especially this year many are misinformed and exynos is their choice. This time the adreno is massive on the bench differences. I find the the CPU benefit on the exynos is battery being also poor. So I am happy with the 845. I hope people choose it if they can. Also more radio support across the board on the model I have. In fact its the 965u1. Do you think the updates will be faster on unlocked as I have heard mixed reviews on this.
