Samsung’s “The Wall” TV & Their New 8K Upscaling TV

Here we go with another quick and dirty CES video for you guys. Samsung announced a couple of TVs that were interesting.

The first, called The Wall, because it is the size of the average wall in an American household apparently, is a massive 146″ flat TV.

Something less extravagant was also shown, an 8K 85″ QLED TV that apparently upscales any lower resolution content to 8K using a ” a proprietary algorithm to adjust screen resolution based on picture quality characteristics of each scene,…

The Wall seems interesting. Sony have one called Cledis. They want like $5,000 a panel. Who the hell they think is going to buy that. I'll wait until other competitors like LG and Panasonic get int to the game and make the same panels cheaper. Trust me it's coming. I remember when flat screen TV's were $30,000. I used to go to J & R music world at lunchtime and solvate over the TV's. Then other competitors came out with theirs and the prices dropped. So imagine if you bought that TV at $30,000? LOL. By 2020 LG will have a panel base TV and Sony and Samsung will wish they made these affordable.

Sony called it CLEDIS last year. Samsung needs to stop saying they're the first at something.

Thanks for your nice video reviews! Did you, or can you please make a video about the latest projector phone there from MOTO (Motorola)? All you need is a white wall and you can take your 70" 4K UHD TV in your pocket, anywhere you go, in the form of a projector phone! 😃 Thx!

Quick and dirty- good thing because you had the information well-organized and machine gunned it at us, lol. Wow, just need money and some of these items from the show could make life very interesting- one would never need to leave home, basically… I loved that demo of the Wall TV with the brick look and fireplace all just a high res TV picture, wow. Also, that resolution upscaling capability is a great use of technology, pretty amazing how the difference in picture quality was so dramatic. Hope your travels home went smoothly. -Ken
